The great Utah shakeout

At 10:15 a.m. on April 19, 2018, hundreds of thousands of Utahns will “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” in The Great Utah ShakeOut, the state's largest earthquake drill ever! Tooele County School District students will participate in the earthquake drill to practice "Drop, Cover, and Hold on."

Online Kindergarten registration for the 2018-19 school year is currently open. To be eligible to enter kindergarten, your child must be at least five years of age on or before Sept.1, 2018.
To register your student go to, hover over the 'Families/Students' tab and choose 'Registration/Enrollment' then click on the link to register online. Please remember that registration will not be complete until all required documentation is taken to your students school. If you do not have access to the internet at home you may complete this online process at your student's school February 22nd or 23rd between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Dual Language Immersion application window opens Jan. 16 - March 16

DLI is a way that students learn academic content while learning another language at the same time. Utah uses a 50/50 model where elementary level students spend half their instructional time in English and the other half of the time in the target language. DLI ensures that your child will be learning Utah Core Content and will become bilingual and biliterate in a second language and English.

Teachers honored for teaching health and fitness to students

The Live Fit Tooele County Coalition honored three more teachers on Monday for their innovative ways of teaching health and fitness to students.
Winners included Andrea Reynolds, fourth-grade teacher at Stansbury Park Elementary; Tami Parker, sixth-grade teacher at Overlake Elementary; and Teresa Knight, fourth-grade teacher at Sterling Elementary.

Sterling Eagles Soar to Elks Hoop Shoot Champions

We are so proud of our Sterling Eagles and Coach Evans.
These two kiddo's made it to the finals of the Elk's Hoop Shoot and did very well.
Jaxon Hunt earned 3rd place overall and Alexus Erickson came in First Place and is going to State in Provo on February 3rd. Good Luck Alexus

Jan. 2nd -- Move to Sterling on 7th Street

Attached are all kinds of files on procedures and maps for the new school. Remember we do have school for students on January 2 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the open house is scheduled for that night at 6 p.m. Families will be welcome to come walk through and see the new building. Due to time constraints and the Holidays there will not be an open house prior to that night.
