Counseling

The School Counseling Program at Sterling Elementary serves ALL students through an MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) model. Through collaboration with school staff and stakeholders, counseling will focus on three main priorities:

Data-driven classroom lessons (For all students)

Small group lessons (Strategic need for students who need targeted support)

Short-term crisis counseling (Intensive need for students who need most intensive support) and Connect students and families to resources when needed.

(Based on Survey Data):
1. Educate all about the school counseling program and its purpose
2. Classroom lessons on emotional regulation and handling social problems
3. College/Career awareness lessons
